Using transaction data without painting a target on privacy

Personalization and credit decisioning both want a long history of how money moves. Privacy law and customer trust want the opposite: minimum data, clear purpose, a way out.
The practical design is purpose-bound marts. Marketing does not get raw ledger. Risk models get features with retention clocks. Analytics that cannot name a customer should not be able to join back to one without a ticket.
If your data platform cannot answer ‘who used this field, for what, and when do we drop it,’ you are not ready to monetize or even to personalize at scale.
